Sponsors pledge to host a specific number of Teacher Fellows and identify Mentors/Managers who will supervise the Teachers.

November to April

February to April

Mentors create and submit to IISME meaningful summer projects.

Beginning in March 

IISME forwards resumes to Mentors of teacher applicants that have expressed interest in their positions and who meet the stated needs of the project.  Mentors review the teacher applications to identify candidates who best fit their project needs.  Mentors interview candidates and make hiring decisions by early May.

June 18, 2012

The eight-week Fellowship begins.  Minor schedule adjustments may be made to meet the needs of Mentors or Teacher Fellows. 

All Teacher Fellows attend a Mid-Summer Meeting to participate in workshops and peer review their Education Transfer Plans (ETP). The ETP is a blueprint for how the teacher will bring new ideas and resources to the classroom as a result of the teacher’s industry or research experience. The date of the Mid-Summer meeting is being finalized.

The date of IISME's End of Summer Celebration is still being finalized.

The eight-week Fellowship ends.  Minor schedule adjustments may be made to meet the needs of Mentors or Teacher Fellows. 

Mentors complete a short evaluation of the Fellowship.
